Putnam County Schools is offering FREE 7-day meal boxes for children ages 0–18 in Putnam County throughout July!
📅 Wednesdays: July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
🕙 10 AM – 12 PM
📍 Lakeside Elementary & Buffalo High School
✅ Register once per child (covers all 5 weeks)
✅ Open to all children, including ages 0–5
✅ Parent/guardian or student must pick up each week

Many thanks to all our helpers and donors this year. We still have a month to go, but we are in the home stretch.

We did get a boost today from several Buffalo High School students who helped pack as part of their school wide community service! We so appreciate their help. They were very diligent workers!

BPS packing change: we will pack backpack snacks tomorrow, Sunday at 5 PM as there is another church event scheduled for 6 PM Wednesday.

This will likely be the last packing as a group of Buffalo High School students will be coming early May to do a service project and will hopefully be able to pack out the rest of the school year for us!

Thank you to all the helpers throughout the year! It went quickly and smoothly.

The year is flying by! Just a handful of packings left really.

The next will be Wednesday, March 18 at 6 PM in the teen room

I am going to need to change the date for the next backpack snack packing. We will pack this Tuesday, November 25th at 5 PM. Thank you

Our next packing won’t be til December 17th and will be the final packing for the year 2025.

We will kick off our year of packing for backpack snacks tonight at 6 PM in the teen building at Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.

Helpers of any age are always welcomed!

And we can really put you to work tonight! Got a ton of loose snacks that will need sorted and boxed. I will try to be there by 5 if you want to come earlier.

Ronnie Harris, a long-time friend and helper of the BackPack Snack program passed away on Monday of this week. Ronnie dedicated much of his time and energy to this program, and he will be greatly missed.

As Paul reminded the folks of Thessalonica, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Ronnie had recently received Jesus into his life, and we rejoice in that!

Please pray for Ronnie’s wife, Joyce, and the rest of his family that remains.

You know what this means? Backpack snack packing is just around the corner. Once we start getting numbers from the school, we will beginning packing and delivering bags.

It’s hard to believe how quickly this summer has flown by!

In just a few weeks, we will be packing up backpack snacks again. Keep an eye here for our first packing date (usually early September).
