We’ve been inspired by trends we’ve seen around embellishing clothing with lace trim, colorful buttons, ruffles, and vintage textiles like doilies.

With this in mind, we set up an Embellishment Bar in Second Stitch with some of our best stock of trims, ribbons, lace, and vintage embellishments.

Here’s how it works: pick up a bag and get busy filling it with your choices. You can mix and match from every basket on the bar, and take as much as can fit in your bag. Each bag is $15.

From there, tag us in what you make. Stop in soon, the Embellishment Bar will be set up through June 6th.

For the past few months these artists have come together to learn, laugh, and create together on the loom. The skills they’ve built under the instruction of Pamela Palma () in such a short amount of time is nothing less than incredible.

Let’s celebrate their hard work with the introduction of a new line of handwoven goods in our shop! ❤️

The energy at REMAKE was incredible, and it reminded us just how powerful textile art can be. ❤️

Sustainable fashion isn’t about perfection, it’s about imagination. Our customer brought in one of her favorite garments with a simple wish: to turn discolored bleach spots into an outline for a new design. With a little creativity, our stitchers Lung + Hkawng brought new life to an old favorite. 🪡✨

We are proud to be your neighborhood hub for revisioning your clothes, whether it’s adding a fresh design with embroidery, block print, or dye, we have a solution for you!

Khalida and Atefeh originally met in English class but now they stay connected by creating side-by-side in the studio every week.✂️

With similar backgrounds, they each learned to embroider and sew from their mothers in Afghanistan, and now they’re carrying those skills forward in beautiful ways: sewing aprons from vintage textiles, reworking our signature hoodies, embroidering house blessings, eyeglass cases, and more.

This is what Stitch Buffalo is all about: women finding friendship, confidence, and belonging through making. We’re so honored to have them here. 🧵

Looking back to move forward. Four years ago today, Buffalo lost ten neighbors on the East Side. Stitch Buffalo was honored to contribute to the 5/14 Day of Service & Remembrance by crafting keychains as a small act of care and collective memory — because healing happens together.

Guided by the principle of Sankofa, we remember the lives lost and show up for the community they were part of. Thank you to the Clementine Gold Group for bringing us into this work.
