We may have made a HUGE mess, but it was worth every minute! 🎨

Our incredibly talented 7th graders have impressed us once again! Students learned about the Rococo art movement and the popularity of Chinoiserie, a European style inspired by Chinese art and decorative designs, including beautiful Ming-style vases.

Our 7th graders were handed a few random items and challenged to turn them into beautiful decorative vases using paper mâché, plaster of Paris, and decoupage!

They certainly rose to the challenge, and the results speak for themselves!

Amazing job, 7th grade! Your creativity continues to impress us!

The 6th graders had the opportunity to visit the Fatima Shrine in Lewiston, NY where they learned about the history of the “Miracle of the Sun” that happened in Fatima Portugal in 1917. They also heard about the history of the basilica, saw some of the first and second class relics, and climbed to the top of the dome to see the 17 foot statue of Our Lady of Fatima. The students prayed a rosary on the ride there asking for many intentions including good weather while the forecast called for rain. Their prayers were answered as the weather was perfect for the occasion. We are grateful to God for a school that allows us opportunities like this to explore some of the wonders of our Catholic faith.
