Reflection for Today’s Readings ✨📖

Today’s readings remind us that faith isn't just something we feel or speak—it is something we do. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, to look at those who are struggling, and to respond not with judgment, but with radical, unconditional love. ❤️🙏

This message is alive and breathing every single day at the Response to Love Center. 🏢✨

When we read about feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and comforting the brokenhearted, we see those words turn into action right here in our community. Whether it’s providing a hot meal in the soup kitchen, helping a neighbor stock their pantry, or offering a compassionate listening ear, the mission is simple: to restore dignity and share God's love with every person who walks through our doors. 🍲🤝👚

We are all broken in some way, and we all need grace. Today, let’s challenge ourselves to take the readings off the page and bring them into the world. How can you be a sign of hope to someone else today? 🌟

If you feel called to be a part of this mission, we would love to welcome you! Whether through prayers, volunteering, or donations, your support keeps the heart of Response to Love beating. 🕊️👇

📖 TUESDAY REFLECTION: Giving from the Heart 📖

Today’s liturgy connects a powerful Old Testament story with Jesus’ famous words in the Sermon on the Mount.

The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal to Elijah, trusting in the promise of God. Because of her radical generosity, her jar of flour did not go empty, nor did her jug of oil run dry.

Then, in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus charges us to be the salt of the earth and a city set on a mountain. 🏔️

The takeaway for us today:
Preserving our "light" by hiding it accomplishes nothing. True discipleship requires us to step out, even when we feel we have little to give, and be a beacon of hope for others. Our good deeds are the primary way the world sees the reality of the Father’s love.

💬 Drop a comment below: How can we better support and shine light on those in our community who are feeling empty or down to their "last jar" this week?

🇺🇸 Remembering Their Sacrifice, Honoring Their Legacy 🇺🇸🕊️
As Memorial Day approaches, our hearts at the Love Center turn to a profound sense of gratitude and reverence. ❤️ Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. 🎖️

📖 A Spiritual Reflection on Ultimate Love
🇺🇸 There is no greater reflection of love than selflessness. In the Scriptures, we are reminded of this powerful truth:

✨ "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." — John 15:13 🕯️

Our fallen veterans lived out this truth in the most literal way. They laid down their lives, their futures, and their dreams so that we could live in freedom. 🗽 Their sacrifice was not just an act of duty; it was a profound act of love for all Americans. 🇺🇸❤️

🙏 Our Prayer for Families and Our Nation
Today, we don't just remember the fallen; we hold their families close in our hearts and prayers. 🕊️ We pray that the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit surrounds every gold star family, bringing a peace that surpasses all understanding.
🤍
Let us honor their legacy not just with our words, but by how we live. May we live out the values they died defending—unity, freedom, kindness, and love for one another. 🤝✨

Join us in prayer and remembrance today:
• 🤫 Pause: Take a moment of silence to honor a fallen hero.
• 🙏 Pray: Lift up the families who carry the weight of this sacrifice every single day.
• 💬 Share: Drop a 🇺🇸 or a word of gratitude in the comments below to honor their memory.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you." (Numbers 6:24-25) 🌟
