Jolene Rickard, a citizen of the Tuscarora Nation, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Native American Art Studies Association.
An artist, curator, scholar, and and Cornell University professor, Rickard has spent decades advancing Indigenous art, visual history, and community-centered knowledge. Her work has helped shape conversations around Indigenous identity, representation, and cultural memory both nationally and internationally.
The recognition highlights the lasting impact Indigenous artists and scholars continue to have across generations.
