As we bring our first pageant season to a close, we do so with immense gratitude and pride.

To every competitor who graced this stage — your presence, your stories, and your courage shaped the very foundation of what this space has become. You each brought something distinct and unforgettable, leaving a mark that will carry far beyond this moment.

To our 2025 inaugural titleholders — you wore your crowns with strength, grace, and purpose. And as this chapter gently comes to an end, we honor not only what you’ve represented, but what the crown symbolizes as it prepares to be passed forward. 👑

This season was built with intention, resilience, and vision. And behind the scenes, that same dedication continues as we thoughtfully prepare for what lies ahead.

Pageant Season 2 is already taking shape — with even greater care, depth, and purpose.

Within this season, our trademark Miss Alternative Buffalo Beauty Pageant, along with our preliminary competitions — Scream Queen of Western New York and Miss Merry & Bright New York — became spaces of expression, empowerment, and artistry. We extend our deepest appreciation to every competitor and every crowned woman who stepped into these titles with authenticity and heart.

This is not a farewell, but a continuation of something much larger than a single season.

We’re clearing out some iconic photoshoot pieces and turning it into something meaningful 💫 All proceeds go directly to supporting the Miss Alternative Foundation and our mission to empower women and amplify their voices.

Here’s how it works ⬇️
We’ve split everything into 4 themed batches:

🎟️ $1 = 1 ticket

This crown was made for you.
This crown was never about being the most.
It was about reminding women they were never less.
As we work toward our fundraising goals,
we’re building something bigger than a stage —
we’re building support, safety, and opportunity for survivors.
There is power in beauty.
Not the kind that competes —
the kind that restores.
Miss Alternative exists in the middle ground that hasn’t been honored the way it should be.
Where strength and softness coexist.
Where survival and glamour share the same stage.

✨ 2026: A Shift in Action ✨
Domestic violence doesn’t just hurt bodies — it affects futures, families, and whole communities. In New York State alone, tens of thousands of individuals and families seek help every year — but the reality is this: the need far exceeds the support available.

📊 Stats That Can’t Be Ignored
• In 2024, there were 37,473 reported non-residential domestic violence program admissions in NYS (32,736 adults + 4,737 children).
• 10,227 people entered residential programs (about half adults, half children).
• There were 24,635 reported shelter denials, meaning survivors were turned away due to lack of capacity.
• And thousands of hotline calls were placed seeking help — a clear cry for support and immediate safety.

🧠 Domestic violence is underreported and under-supported — especially when it comes to access to shelter, long-term safety, and economic stability.

💔 What’s often forgotten:
Escaping violence is only the first step. What comes after — rebuilding identity, confidence, stability — is where real transformation happens.

🌱 That’s why the Miss Alternative Foundation champions support in the middle ground — the space between survival and thriving.
We believe survivors deserve:

Over the past year, our community of women, youth, and families has been incredibly honest with us about what support truly looks like in real time.

After listening closely to our 2025 inquiries, surveys, and conversations, we are thoughtfully restructuring our initiatives.

Beginning in 2026, our focus will center on open, trauma-informed classes that integrate mental, spiritual, and physical wellness — alongside building and sustaining vocational scholarships through the pageant.

Instead of spreading our energy across multiple initiatives, we are choosing depth. Alignment. Sustainability.

Our community asked for hands-on tools, embodied practices, safety education, grief support, and spaces that don’t silo healing — and we listened.

This next chapter will include:
• Sound baths
• Cacao ceremonies
• Self-defense classes
• Emotional release workshops
• Grief counseling for child loss
• Trauma-informed care education

This restructuring is not an ending.
It is a focused beginning.

We are building something rooted in real stories, real needs, and real expansion — beyond New York State.

This year, we’re turning up the sparkle with something bold, confident, and completely alternative. 💋🔥 Introducing our Alternative Angels Showcase — a creative tribute to the iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!
