Kim Olsen is the kind of person, who shows up every year and willing to do whatever is asked of her. She has quietly led setting up the tables for Supper in the Street the last few years, never asking to take the lead, but softly asking friends and neighbors to chip in to make it look spectacular. She and neighbor Karen show up ready to work and give direction and so grateful. She's sat on the committee since the beginning, was our first Supper at home sponsor & encourage her friends on the street to learn about us, & then encouraged them to make a meal together for our guests sometimes quarterly, sometimes more. She's the kind of quiet leader who makes an ask to a winery before you even ask her because she knows when they liked to be called. She's also involved their church who has done several collection drives for us and hoping to come make a dinner with our guests soon.
Kim is a true gem of a volunteer, even when things are stressful, she is so kind and always willing to lend a hand... & with Kevin Guest House, she makes sure her husband Jon, longtime volunteers together at Roswell Park, is taking her lead and they bring their grand kids to come volunteer with us.
