A big shout our to Jim Lougen, our board member from M&T Bank who has been supporting us along with his wife Diana for several years ever since he signed up for our Giving Hearts program many years ago. He has been our golf chairmen for multiple years and helped to bring it back to a sell out event and has taken on the lead for our nominating & governance committee to help us recruit the next set of leaders to support our mission.

Jim said when he first got involved with us "“As a professional living and working in Buffalo, I was looking for a way to give back to the community and support an organization that I felt connected to. After meeting with Lynsey Weaver and learning about Kevin Guest House's mission, I fell in love with the organization. KGH and their staff do an amazing job caring for families and patients and provide a semblance of home for families dealing with very difficult circumstances.” He family has a very personal connection to the work we do and you can see their passion in helping us continue to do good work for our patients and caregivers.

He's introduced countless co-workers and friends to our mission, donating to our auctions and helped our relationship with M&T Bank to utilizing our investments to grow more. We've been partnering with the Buffalo Marathon by recruiting volunteers for water station #24 for nearly two decades and we had a really great and enthusiastic group this year who kept the tradition going with the organization of our House Manager Jeff Clark. Thanks to their time and commitment, we will once again receive a grant for their efforts. Thank you to all the volunteers who came supper early and stayed until the last runners went by.

Our Wool Dryer Balls have depleted and we need your help to replenish a new set for each of our 8 sets of washer/dryers on campus. We try when we can to do our part to be a little more eco friendly and conscious of allergies & rough chemicals for the various types of people & patients that stay in our spaces. Products like wool dryer balls or eco friendly tablets like the Blueland line of laundry products help us to keep our bedding clean that is washed every day and support our guests. At the very least, we always prefer Free & Clear and liquid detergents that have no fragrances. We are need of all and the above on a regular basis to keep our linens fresh. We love when our dinner groups take extra special care to make their "specialties" for our guests. Whether its Kim making her special cheesecake from the Fruehauf neighbors or the Omicron Gamma sorority friends bringing various chocolate brownie flavors, we appreciate the kindness and detail to make our guest feel special.

we still have many dates open for June & rely on the generosity of these groups to provide a warm cooked meal for a long day at the hospital. It's cookout season, come bring your co-workers or neighbors and enjoy our garden.

Hugh Garvey is one of the most passionate, hard working board members we've had, always keeping his brother Kevin in his heart in everything he does to support us.
