Over 40 local organizations will be on site to connect you with vital services, programs, and opportunities.

Highlights include:
• Free backpack giveaway with school supplies (children must be present to claim).
• Home weatherization kits
• Back-to-school haircuts for kids (courtesy of Blendz by Goodfellas)
• Free food, live music, and entertainment
• Free Bike Raffle w/ helmet & lock,
• Music from DJ Ras Muata and cultural performances from ArtHouse and the Burmese Water Festival Dancers
• Inflatable Slide, lawn games, arts & crafts, activities, and fun for all ages-including a special activity with the Buffalo AKG Art Truck!

This afternoon, the Allentown Association and Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski held a press conference to announce a new initiative to remove cigarette butts from Allen Street. 48 stainless steel cigarette recycling receptacles have been placed on posts along Allen Street from Wadsworth to Main. These receptacles will collect cigarette butts for recycling and will help to remove litter from the sidewalks and keep Allentown beautiful for residents and visitors. This initiative is funded by a grant from Keep America Beautiful with recycling services provided by Terracycle.
