Today, I had the privilege of meeting with the Buffalo City Council Majority Leader to discuss an issue that is becoming more urgent by the day—homelessness. As we’ve seen in recent months, the number of individuals facing homelessness in our city continues to rise, and it’s clear that immediate action is needed to address this growing crisis.

During the meeting, I highlighted the critical need for additional homeless shelters in Buffalo to provide safe spaces, resources, and support for those experiencing homelessness. It’s essential that we have facilities that not only offer a roof over their heads but also provide the tools they need to regain stability and independence.

I also had the opportunity to pitch Freedom Found Center , a homeless shelter concept I believe could make a profound difference in our community. This center would offer not just temporary shelter, but also access to job training, mental health services, addiction recovery programs, and more—giving individuals the chance to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with dignity.

By working together, we can make a real impact in addressing homelessness in Buffalo, and I am hopeful that the Freedom Found Center can become a vital part of that solution. Thank you to the City Council for hearing me out today and for their ongoing commitment to finding solutions to this critical issue.

We are at 170 signatures! Your signature, your voice matters.! We need a place for the homeless to sleep. Not outside. We don’t need a police station there even if it’s temporarily for reservations? Yeah no! Homelessness is on the rise, and people dying due to the cold weather! The homeless matter and they have a voice!

One thing about me is I’m a fighter for what’s right. Y’all know I work with the homeless every week. They have my personal contact and everything. But seeing that the city wants to change the Braymiller downtown to a police station is not right. The homeless are people, yes some of them have a past. We all have a past. We are not perfect and we need to forgive. We have a shortage of shelters already. Alot of them are full to capacity or you need to qualify to get in. The police not saying all police officers but they can be a bully to them. I’ve seen it and it’s not right. Putting fear in there hearts than safety. We need more homeless shelters, not a police station. So I have a petition to go against this. We would like that building to be Freedom Found Center shelter for the homeless. To give them that safe space and tools to build and grow. Please join me as I will be going to the government officials about this. I’m not going down without a fight. Thank you for your support. So I’m here downtown where I feed the homeless every Sunday. And I see this sign. A lot of the homeless live under the underpass at the Buffalo Public Library downtown. But now it’s illegal to be homeless! This just made me so mad! When the shelters are full or the shelters have stipulations .! This is not right! I will be fighting this!
I need all hands on deck! Follow my upcoming homeless shelter Freedom Found Center !
Can’t treat people that way. No where to go but will arrest them cause there homeless is inhumane!!!

So over the weekend one of the homeless people downtown where I serve every Sunday passed away because of freezing temperatures. We are in need of more homeless shelters. This breaks my heart because no one should sleeping outside. A lot of these shelters are not safe so they feel better sleeping outside. This has to stop. Please help my nonprofit organization Freedom Found Center my upcoming homeless shelter to be open, because I literally cried and cried. That’s just not right.
Please donate to help us open up our homeless shelter. We tried dealing with the city but there program is to take money from the homeless than trying to help them build. This system loves to keep people down. That needs to change! They are still people, they are still human! That could you and I out there! So please Buffalo let’s come together! So today while feeding the homeless, there are so many homeless people sleeping outside in freezing cold weather. With only a blanket and pillow. No socks , barely any shoes and it hurts. We have to do better Buffalo. Because this is not right. Like when I say it’s freezing downtown, like my hands can barely move. I need all hands on deck for my upcoming homeless shelter Freedom Found Center . Need investors and people to help. I can’t do this by myself. And it breaks my heart that they are out here. Yes my nonprofit Taylor’s Harvest gives them food, clothes
, shoes, supplies and a word from God. But they need shelter. Buffalo can we come together and help. We need more homeless shelters. The system is designed to keep someone down. But not my shelter! Please share this post cause my heart is torn. 😢😣😩
