Over 80 members of our Community Services family joined our DEI Committee at the The Buffalo History Museum for a fascinating look at the history of the city of Buffalo and Erie County. Exhibits highlighted stories and objects from many parts of our area history and included the experiences of underrepresented people, such as the indigenous tribes that lived here.

Thanks to our DEI Committee and agency leadership for sponsoring such a fun and educational day out!

Students in our H.O.S.T. (Hospitality Occupational Skills Training) Program showed off their cleaning, inventory, and organizational skills in today’s class. Through hands-on learning, they also developed soft skills essential for success in the workplace, like time management, accountability, and collaboration.

They can’t wait to show their future employers what they can do!

We cheered on the athletes on our basketball team as they competed in the Special Olympics New York Western Regional Basketball Tournament.

They got a chance to show off their dribbling, agility, shooting, and passing skills during the skills competition event.

While the basketball season has come to a successful close, the team will continue to practice in the off-season in hopes of reaching new goals for next year. This is all part of our new Wellness Program for the people we serve.

We are so proud of all the hard work they have done and how far they have come in such a short period of time. Congratulations and great job guys!

It's Mental Health Awareness Month and we chatted with the people we serve about it. They gave us great insight into what helps their mental health and how they deal with bad mental health days.
