Earlier this month, we celebrated the graduation of our first Business Family Dinner cohort.

It was an evening filled with business pitches, family connections, and plenty of proud moments. Throughout the evening, we heard excited children's voices in the hallways -- "Mommy's about to pitch!" In some cases, children joined their parents to help present their business ideas.

What stood out most from the night was toward the end, watching the kids cheer as their parents walked to the front of the room, accepted their awards, and were recognized for all of the hard work they've invested in growing their businesses. Entrepreneurship can often mean long hours, sacrifices, and balancing family life with building something new. This was a chance for children to see that work pay off—to witness their parents being celebrated!

We created this program because entrepreneurship doesn't happen in isolation. For many business owners, there isn't a clear line between work time and family time. Children come to meetings, ideas are developed around dinner tables, and families often make sacrifices together while a business grows.This program recognizes that reality by creating space for entrepreneurs to build their businesses while still being present for the people who matter most.

Sometimes participants from one program become instructors for another. Feeding our collective community and sharing knowledge from person to person 🥰

Reach East graduate Chef Erika Nicole and the Meraki Collective were awesome instructors with our STEAM students and we’re so thankful to work with them. Those chicken dumplings were next level - please support them, they’re amazing! 🥟

Imagine matching students with community organizations to solve real issues.

Imagine the possibilities.

It was our honor to work with students from OLV Human Services this year and to present their handmade gifts to The SPCA Serving Erie County, NY , Beds for Buffalo The Service Collaborative of WNY , and Grassroots Gardens earlier this week at our Community Giving Ceremony.

Thank you to everyone who joined the celebration (especially our favorite pup!). The possibilities are endless when we work together.

Many families have been asking - Our FREE Dream Builders Program is now enrolling! Designed for 5th–8th graders, The Foundry is running 🏃 individual class sessions to engage middle school students in STEAM and entrepreneurship-based activities. Students explore physics, engineering, design-thinking and more while working on exciting projects in our makerspaces.

Plus, the adult/child classes allow the adult to access our makerspaces alongside their kids!
