The Foundry

The Foundry The Foundry is a creative makerspace and business incubator located on the East Side of Buffalo.

The Foundry strives to advance individuals and communities by providing hands-on learning experiences, entrepreneurial support and exposure to possibilities. The Foundry brings together do’ers, innovators, and action seekers. We provide affordable work spaces for product-related businesses and dream about having weavers and welders, woodworkers and glassworkers, carvers and crafters, all under one

roof, all experimenting with their craft, while helping to build their small enterprises. For many of us involved, we get new ideas and perspective from the organic process of discussion, debate, and exchange with the others we work with. We also offer educational opportunities and work with school age children, exposing them to alternative career options and providing opportunities to learn hands-on skills.

You did a great job pitching, congratulations!! 🥰

I am truly grateful and excited for this opportunity. The Build Her Business family dinner series was everything that I needed. Clarity for my business, guidance and everything else in between. As a single mother working to manage and maintain life, this program helped me identify what’s important and how to incorporate that importance into my business as my ENTIRE self!

I am MOM, I am creative, I am brilliance, I am all of the things. On today, I am a graduate. I am building a legacy that my 8 year old understands, has the ability to change our lives.

Thank you Tamara Zantell, and The Foundry along with SpringboardNY. This program was exactly what I needed.

The Foundry’s Textile Lab is the perfect place to learn something new! No matter your skill level, there is something for everyone.

Learn how to sew, how to read a pattern, or how to use a Cricut machine to bring your creative visions to life! Just attend a fun orientation to build confidence in the makerspace and then you’ll be able to create on your own during our Open Maker Hours.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the graduation and pitch competition for The Foundry’s very first Family Business Dinners cohort - and YOU are invited!

Sponsored by Springboard NY, this groundbreaking initiative is designed specifically for parent entrepreneurs, including single parents, women, and Black and Brown families from Buffalo’s East Side, solving the ultimate balancing act by letting families learn, grow, and build businesses together.

Over the last few weeks, these entrepreneurs attended virtual workshops along with in-person family dinners, working side-by-side with their kids on core business principles. Plus, to make sure parents could fully focus on the program, The Foundry provided on-site certified childcare and fun, age-appropriate entrepreneurial activities for the kids and teens! Win-win-win!
