Friends of the Buffalo Library This is a non-profit organization made up of library supporters. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, six times a year.

The Friends of the Buffalo Library, on August 14, celebrated completion of the Reading Garden at the Buffalo Library. The Friends launched the Reading Garden Project in 2021 to provide an area for outside story times, art programs, and a place to enjoy the view of Buffalo Lake. Financial help came from the Buffalo Lions, the Buffalo Rotary and a grant from MALF (Minnesota Association of Library Friends) not to mention sales of lots of used books! Music by Hurkle Durkle, light refreshments, prize drawings and a search and find contest were activities as part of the program. The garden area is between the lake and the library and includes a flower garden, pergola, benches, a rabbit family and a paved surface.
