Today is International Refugee Day. There are more than 70 million refugees worldwide - half are children. Many of those displaced are due to climate change a number that will continue to rise. For refugees, energy poverty makes their situation even more difficult.

Climate change is catalyst for conflict and unrest and predicitons for climate refugees dwarf that of refugees fleeing persecution or conflict.

Toasting to a job well done! We are in deep gratitude to these 3 amazing men (all named Chris!) who dedicated a month of their lives to work in Tanzania to power a village. Thank you also to all of the outstanding volunteers from Solar Liberty who worked tirelessly to plan, engineer, and help execute our largest project to date. Our many volunteers help us to be experts in solar energy!

The girls at the Kitenga School for Girls in Tanzania were so excited for their school to be powered that they pitched right in to carry solar panels to all of the buildings! We are proud to support girl’s education. These girls will go on to change the world!
