We're ending summer in style with a Happy Hour at one of Buffalo's coolest venues - please join us and support Friends of The Riverline! Come to Sportsmen's Tavern on Monday, August 31st starting at 5:00 PM for an End of Summer Happy Hour! Music by Something Anything starts at 5:30. $25 per person includes entry for great music, tasty appetizers, and access to a cash bar. Between sets, Friends of The Riverline will introduce our 2026-2027 Board of Directors and provide an update on the future of The Riverline. Join Niagara Frontier Surfrider Foundation this Saturday June 20th at 10 am for a boat launch cleanup in the Old First Ward; Ohio St. and Mutual Riverfront Park on the Buffalo River. Meet at 10 am at Sevens Cafe (225 Louisiana St) and then head over to the cleanup spots. Optional paddle on the river and lunch at Gene McCarthy’s after. Hope to see you there!

Our free, one-hour tours of The Riverline resume this week with a tour of The Basswoods on Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:30 PM (only 5 spaces left!), and a tour of The Del next Thursday. The Riverline tours kicked-off last night in The Basswoods. It was a cold, damp evening, and we were competing with a Sabres game, but we had a wonderful walk in The Basswoods. We saw deer, trains on both bridges, and lovely views of the Buffalo River and grain elevators. Join us on May 14 for The Del Tour. Register at www.theriverline.org.

We had 13 hard working volunteers remove 11 bags of trash and 2 tires from the section of The Riverline between Louisiana Street & Hamburg Street yesterday afternoon. Special thanks to five volunteers from M&T Bank who were a great help in cleaning-up Miami Street.

Join us on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd for a clean-up along The Riverline between Louisiana and Hamburg Streets. Meet at 5:00pm at the intersection of Louisiana Street and Miami Street. We'll finish by about 6:00pm and recover at The Buffalo Bar & Grille.

Join us on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd, to clean up a section of The Riverline. We'll meet at 5:00 PM at the corner of Louisiana Street and Miami Street, and spend about an hour-and-a-half picking up trash that has accumulated over the winter.
