Hey, neighbors! Our Secretary is serving our community as a Buffalo Street Tree Ambassador and will be at the Bison's Tail Gate Event by the Kaisertown Coalition on July 7th starting at 5:00 p.m. Please come see her to talk about a free tree for you!

Through this program you can request a tree for your street green space as a property owner or renter. You can select from a group of tree species that will thrive in your space by size, height, leaf or flowering preferences.
Get your neighborhood involved and see what a difference legacy tree planting can make!
Plant in memory of a loved one...
Plant to watch it grow with the kiddos...
Plant to celebrate a family milestone, wedding, or other event...
Plant to make a neighborhood statement!

Here are a few good reasons to plant a tree:
1. Trees slow traffic. It's proven that streets with trees subconsciously slow drivers down.
2. Trees cool the area by providing shade.
3. Trees give homes to birds and other tree-huggers!
4. Trees increase property values over landscape without trees.
5. Trees absorb an enormous number of pollutants; they clean the air and create oxygen for people.
6. Trees regulate excessive rainwater, creating healthier yards.

Why use this program?
Because urban arborists (city tree experts) will work with you to select the best location and variety of tree for your space to insure it thrives for many years to come.
The landscape company contracted to maintain your tree for the next few years will plant it, fertilize it, and make sure it gets off to a great start. And they will replace it if it doesn't survive the first 1.5 years.

VISIT ME (I'll be wearing the green Street Trees T-shirt) AT THE TAIL GATE PARTY on JULY 7th, I'D LOVE TO CHAT ABOUT ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE!

THIS IS ONE WAY WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO BRING KAISERTOWN BACK TO IT'S BEAU-TREE-FUL BEST!!

Bringing Trees to Buffalo Neighborhoods Buffalo Street Trees is an initiative of the City of Buffalo through the Division of Parks and Recreation to inform and engage residents of the opportunities and benefits of bringing trees to their neighborhoods. Concerning the Kaisertown Coalition's Bison Tailgate Party.
The date is Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5:00 pm. The location will soon be announced. many people are asking how to get their FREE tickets. All you have to do is show up to the party. We will advise you now that NO tickets will be given out in advance. We have 100 tickets to give away and the first 100 people who arrive will receive their tickets. You may recall last year we had approx. 175 people make reservations for tickets and approx. 100 people showed up. Therefore, to be fair to all, the 100 tickets will be available at the tailgate party until they are gone. Keep watching for the location of the party.

Community Garage Sale: Clear your clutter and make some money! National Night Out - is Tuesday, August 4, 2026 - we are working on securing a location. Back by popular demand is Kaisertown's very own 3rd Story Band! Details will soon be announced. The event will start at 5:00 pm.

The annual pumpkin carving contest will take place in Houghton Park on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Enjoy watching your kids design and carve, (under your supervision), their own masterpiece!
