I encourage everyone to review this link and contact the Ford administration. Making this an International issue....which it is...can only strengthen the effort to save the Ontario Science Centre.

The Campaign has been fighting to save these historic buildings in the Cobblestone district for years. We implore the mayor to do everything the city can.

Mayor Brown,
I am currently at the parking garage looking down on 110-120 South Park and as devastating as the fire appears to be, this building can and should be saved.
Careful, selected demolition of damaged masonry can take place and the majority of the facade, especially on South Park can be saved. The building is of limited height where barricades can protect the public until damaged brick is removed and the walls stabilized. Even now South Park has been closed for an extended time to allow for the elevator construction at the terminal
Selected demolition and salvage of facades has been successfully accomplished at numerous sites in Buffalo. The Webb building and Bosch buildings both had completely collapsed roofs and were rehabbed. The building in the theater district adjacent to the market arcade had a devastating fire, yet the facade was saved and it's a thriving building. And of course the White Livery stable had a serious collapse and has since been rebuilt by none other than Sam Savarino who supports the saving of this building
I know the city has been fighting to take over South Park...this should continue as Carr is basically a criminal robbing the citizens of Buffalo.
I will help in any way I can

Paul McDonnell AIA

Hey gang, check out this special tour!
https://greaterbuffalo.blogs.com/gbb/2023/08/rare-look-at-buffalos-arts-crafts-masterworks-coming-in-september.html
Tim Tielman and artist Henry Swiatek of Swiatek Studios are offering an in-depth exploration of the interior and exterior decorative extravaganza that is the peak of Arts & Crafts architecture—the 1920s churches of Oakley & Schallmo. Chester Oakley (1893-1968) and Albert Schallmo (1884-1928). The partnership produced four exquisite churches in the four corners of the city: St. John’s in Riverside, St. Casimir’s in Kaisertown, St. Luke’s on Sycamore St. on the East Side, and Blessed Trinity, serving the north-central part of the expanding city. Their work was the end of an era; no more large churches were built in Buffalo, and modernist architects sought to cast shade on decoration. This is a rare chance to see these marvels of brick and terra cotta in one day. Includes snacks and beverage to sustain you!
