Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) is based on a nationally recognized arts and training center.

The Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology is a place of hope and opportunity, offering after-school arts programs for youth, ages 13-18, and vocational training for adults in the Buffalo Area. BCAT provides resilient learners needing targeted supports with educational and career-centered opportunities in an environment of hope and discovery. We mentor and prepare adults to secure new career pathways. We motivate high school youth to stay in school, explore their creativity and identity, and plan for their future through an arts and technology afterschool program. All of our programs are fee-free and scholarship funded through our generous donors and supporters.

Our future pharmacy technicians took their learning on the road! 💊
On October 6th, students in BCAT's Pharmacy Technician program toured Buffalo General Medical Center and spent time with pharmacy manager Darshay Williams. Darshay connected what students are learning in the classroom to the day-to-day work of a hospital pharmacy team, and shared the employment opportunities waiting for them once they finish the program.
Seeing the work up close matters. A certification goal starts to look like a real career, with real people and real roles attached to it. Our students came back with their questions answered and a clearer picture of where this pathway leads.

You’re Invited: Culture Lab: City as Portrait 📸✨
Join us as our Youth Arts students share their vision of Buffalo through original photography that explores our community from their unique perspectives. Hosted inside the Joseph Family Gallery at our state-of-the-art facility, this exhibition celebrates the creative talent, self-expression, and technical storytelling cultivated right here at BCAT.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served—come celebrate our young artists!

Our adult workforce phlebotomy students recently completed their final practicals at 368 Sycamore as they prepared for their NHA Phlebotomy exam. Hands-on clinical training, high-demand career pathways, and tuition-free education are at the heart of our mission to build a stronger Buffalo.

Happy 2nd anniversary to our home at 368 Sycamore! 🥳🎊 What a wild ride these two years have been.
Our Youth Arts students collaborated with our partners at Buffalo AKG Art Museum to design and paint a stunning new mural on the side of our building. Beyond the new artwork, our building hosted over 13 student and community exhibits in the past 2 years, showcasing the talent, growth, and creativity thriving within our doors every day.
To everyone who supported our move, adapted alongside us, and guided visitors to our new home when they went to our old location—thank you for being part of our story! 🥹

Thank you, Buffalo! 💛
This past Saturday, our 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair filled 368 Sycamore Street with neighbors, and we're so grateful to everyone who came out to support.
Families picked up clothing at our giveaway, connected with 20+ vendors and local organizations, and left with resources for housing, health, employment, and more. We also loved the chance to show visitors what BCAT offers for both youth and adults right here on the East Side.
To every neighbor who walked through our doors, thank you for spending your Saturday with us. And to every vendor and partner organization who gave their time to meet people face to face, we couldn't have done it without you.

Two days until BCAT's 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair! 🎉
This Saturday, we're turning 368 Sycamore Street into a one-stop hub for East Side neighbors — free lunch, a clothing giveaway, and dozens of local organizations ready to connect you with resources for housing, health, employment, and more.
Last year, 30+ vendors and 200+ neighbors came through our doors. This year we're aiming higher, and we want you there.
Whether you're curious about BCAT's healthcare and IT training programs, looking for resources for your family, or just want to meet your neighbors, there's a reason to stop by.
