Wegmans Food Markets is an invaluable customer for our manufacturing and fulfillment department. Nationwide, all 114 Wegmans stores rely on the vinyl gloves packed and shipped right here at VIA.
Yesterday, our team, alongside Katie Eddy from our sister agency, Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired - CABVI, had the privilege of hosting members from Wegmans' procurement and supplier quality team for an on-site tour and collaborative meeting. While our organizations have partnered for years, this visit was a wonderful opportunity for several Wegmans team members to experience our operations firsthand.
Together, we held highly productive discussions covering:
• Our shared history and evolving business relationship
• Current market conditions and logistical landscapes
• Future product requirements to sustain their operations
• New opportunities for expanded collaboration
We extend our deepest gratitude to Wegmans for their continued business. Their commitment to purchasing gloves through VIA directly sustains and creates meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Wegmans truly models its core value to "care about the well-being and success of every person" and continually makes a profound difference in the communities they serve. We're honored beyond measure to call them a partner!
