Buffalo Place Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 season of The Downtown Buffalo Country Market, beginning Thursday, June 4, 2026! M&T Bank will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the Market’s 44th anniversary season.
The Market will operate on Thursdays, from 10am to 2pm, along Main Street at Fountain Plaza, between Huron and Chippewa Streets, and will continue through October 15, 2026. The Downtown Country Market has been a cherished Buffalo tradition since its establishment in 1982, providing residents and visitors with a lively and welcoming shopping experience. Buffalo Place is proud to participate in several community-focused initiatives, including the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, the Field & Fork Network’s Double Up Food Bucks Program, and the Farmers Market Federation of New York.
“M&T Bank is proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Downtown Country Market and to support a series that continues to grow alongside our community,” said Tracy Woodrow, M&T Bank Chief Administrative Officer and Western New York Regional President. “The Market creates meaningful opportunities to support local vendors and small businesses while offering residents and visitors a vibrant, welcoming space to shop, connect and enjoy Downtown Buffalo week after week throughout the warmer seasons.”
