Book Arts 15th Annual BookFest will be held at 468 Washington Street in Downtown Buffalo this Saturday, June 6th from 11am to 4pm! A playful, hands-on celebration of book arts, printmaking, and creative curiosity - BookFest invites everyone to ink it up, and experience the joy of ink, paper, metal and wood type. BookFest is held in conjunction with an exhibition and opening reception in Book Arts’ Main Gallery by its Member Artist Community. Both events are free and open to the public. LET'S GO DOWNTOWN! Could there be a more perfect anthem for opening night?! Join us this Thursday, June 4th from 5pm-8pm, as we kick off our free 10th Anniversary season of Thursday & Main at Fountain Plaza with our pals Handsome Jack and The Burkharts!

Part strut, part shimmy, all heart, Handsome Jack brings their signature blend of boogie, blues, soul, and rock 'n' roll back Downtown for a night of gritty riffs, swampy grooves, and dance-worthy energy. Opening the show, The Burkharts will transport you to a dreamy California coastline with their infectious indie surf-pop sound.

Our friends from Jack Rabbit will be slinging delicious bites all evening, and cold beverages will be available courtesy of Big Ditch Brewing Company

Help install temporary street improvements at three Buffalo intersections this June as part of the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation - BUDC Temporary Intersection Redesign Project – a community-driven project bringing new murals, painted crosswalks, street furniture, planters, and wayfinding to Michigan Ave., Marine + Commercial, and Roosevelt Plaza! Volunteers will help paint, assemble, and arrange temporary installations that make these sites safer, livelier, and a little more Buffalo. Whether you’re handy with a paintbrush, good at moving things around, or just want to be part of something fun in your neighborhood, there’s a role for you. Come for an hour. Stay for the whole thing. Bring a friend.
