Joile's Wings We collect handmade hats, scarves, and blankets to deliver to area hospitals for patients with cancer. Many tests and a couple weeks later, the diagnosis came.

I started this organization as a tribute to both of my grandparents who we lost to cancer. My grandmother, Joile, taught me how to crochet back in 2003. 3 short years later, we lost her to cancer. I didn't really touch a crochet hook for years, and then in the fall of 2012 I decided to start back up and found myself sitting in the waiting room at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, making hats for famil

y and friends, waiting on news about my grandpa who had fallen very ill. It was cancer. 5 short months later, we lost him as well. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my angels watching over my family, and I feel that this is the best way I can honor them.
