Food for the Spirit stands in solidarity with Community to Community and Alfredo (Lelo) Juarez who was violently detained by ICE just two days ago. Lelo has been a dedicated farmworker leader since he was 12 years old, and has made incredible contributions to farmworker organizing in Washington State. We believe he was targeted because of his organizing work.

We received this heartbreaking news yesterday and are asking that you please join Community to Community's URGENT call (included below) to demand Lelo’s *immediate release*.

🌱Provide high-quality, local food from QTBIPOC+ growers to East Buffalo residents
🌱Ensure fair wages and sustainability for producers and workers
🌱 Foster collaboration and community-led food systems change

From tours and presentations to interactive activities, we can’t wait to welcome our food and thought partners from across the state to help us officially launch the Buffalo Bypass Network. If you know someone who should definitely be there, share this info and have them register!
