🎤 BAF 6MBS SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT: MATTHEW WATTLES

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Wattles, Vice President at the Niagara Frontier Food Terminal, to the BAF 2026 6MBS!

In his role, Matthew helps shape business operations and redevelopment strategies for the nearly 400,000 square-foot historic food market complex. From managing leased space and acquiring new clients to developing reinvestment projects, researching grant opportunities, and creating financial models, Matthew plays an important role in planning for the Food Terminal’s future.

Matthew brings a background that bridges urban planning, environmental design, economic development, and research. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and a Master of Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo, and previously worked as a Research Analyst at the UB Regional Institute, contributing to major regional initiatives including the NYS Regional Economic Development Councils, Buffalo Billion strategies, and One Region Forward.

His experience offers a unique perspective on the intersection of historic places, economic development, redevelopment, and the future of Buffalo’s built environment.

Join us on September 24th to hear Matthew and our lineup of speakers share their perspectives, experiences, and insights.
