CLARIFICATION from this weeks Buffalo Weekly News:

Just to avoid any confusion with the public and any of the supporters of previous years Buffalo Poker Run, we would like to clarify that the Buffalo Poker Run has NOT been re-named in any way. The Buffalo Poker Run, who's monetary donations went towards the local Buffalo Theatre has dissolved as of this year. A very difficult decision that was made by the BPR Committee due to conflicting events and scheduling. Another group may be trying to start their own Poker Run, and we do wish them the most success!

It is with heavy heart that I have to announce that there will not be a poker run. Nine years ago when Bryan Harmon was approached by the Buffalo Theater Board about trying a poker run for a fund raiser for the Theater Bryan called Rick and I and Andy and Krisi and the original Poker Run Committee was formed, with the intention of it being a one time thing and see how it worked. Well 8 Poker Runs Later, and Rick and I the only original committee members left, we have come to the conclusion that all GREAT things must come to an end. When we started this event there were two poker runs in NW Oklahoma, The 5 State Run in Guymon and ours. One in the spring and one in the fall. Well now as you all know you can just about go to a poker run in NW Oklahoma or SW Kansas on any given weekend through out the entire riding season. It is getting harder all the time to plan around other events. With that said its time for our many supporters to maybe try something new and try one of these other events going on. This is something I will greatly miss being a part of and I know it will be missed by those who attended every year. I do hope our supporters will continue to support the Buffalo Theater by dropping by a donation or going to see one of the great movies they show. I can not express enough THANKS to our Volunteers and to our Sponsors your all are AWESOME!!! Again its hard to say goodbye to this great event but I pray in time that we come up with something better that not everyone is doing. Until that time Ride Safe and Keep the Shinny Side Up.
