Buffalo Pond Hockey

Buffalo Pond Hockey We're bringing outdoor skating and hockey back to Buffalo! We need support! We need to show the City of Buffalo and Olmsted Parks that we ALL want to skate!

Our primary interests reside at Delaware Park, a luxurious historic resource for centralizing winter activities. We are interested to volunteer our time to construct 2 rinks on which the citizens and visitors of Buffalo, may escape their cabin fevered homes and enjoy a greatly popular outdoor activity during the colder months. Our main goal is to revive winter activities on Hoyt Lake. Activity on

a superficially frozen Hoyt Lake is not encouraged. The lake is currently slated as unsafe, and unknown to freezing conditions. The City does have posted signs which indicate 'Danger Stay of Ice'. We do not condone the use of any frozen ice on any lake for ice skating, traversing or any other winter activity without prior approval from an accredited Engineer or Parks Department Official regarding the stability and safety of the ice.
