These men will have a special memory to share and remember for the rest of their lives. They went pheasant hunting with other veterans from around the United States

It was an extraordinary weekend spent with our veterans and volunteers at Estrellas Ranch, in collaboration with our esteemed partners from The Redford Ranch Foundation. Notably, some veterans achieved their first deer harvest, while others experienced the majesty of nature. Such events underscore the value of assisting those in need and sharing their personal stories and struggles. We are delighted to have formed new friendships and extend a warm welcome to those who joined us. We extend our gratitude to Hardlife Tackle for participating as one of our special guests; their presence and camaraderie were truly appreciated, and we hope they enjoyed the weekend as much as we did.

🇺🇸UPDATE: Texas Vietnam War Airman Accounted For — Services This Month

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency says U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. James H. Calfee, of Boling, Texas, has been officially accounted for, more than 50 years after he was killed during the Vietnam War.

Calfee was among the Americans killed in a 1968 attack at Lima Site 85 in Laos. After decades of investigation, recovery missions, and DNA testing, his remains were positively identified in 2025.

🗓 January 13, 2026 | 11 a.m.

Boling, TX, is a small community located in Wharton County about 60 miles southwest of Houston.

His name will now be permanently marked as accounted for on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

On October 18th Veterans Event we had the privilege to have several free drawings for hunting and fishing trips. First management hunt was done at the Estrella Ranch in Orange Grove, Texas. If you were one of the lucky winners for the future hunts don’t worry we will be contacting you as soon as we get all the details! Texas Outdoor Heroes was asked to present the colors for the 2025 Concepcion Veterans Celebration honoring WWII Pearl Harbor Robert Stillman Garcia in which his remains were found and was brought back home and laid to rest at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
