AREA DANSCOMPANY @ The Wing is dedicated to being a vibrant contributor to the cultural capital of Buffalo and Western New York joining the groundswell of Buffalo's renaissance and reinvention. As an institutional voice for dance, the goals and objectives of AREA DANSCOMPANY @ The Wing are to have meaningful impact on Buffalo's cultural ecosystem inspired by its revered institutions like Shea's Performing Arts Center, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the Buffalo Philharmomic Orchestra at Kleinhans Music Hall. AREA DANSCOMPANY's programming will include traditional technique-&-repertory classes, choreographic workshops, training intensives, and performance opportunities. THE WING will offer a daily schedule of open classes from fitness to technical dance. In addition THE WING's facilities will be appropriate and available for rental for self-produced public or private events, reception, concerts, readings, film screenings, etc. AREA DANSCOMPANY is currently accepting support for its capital campaign to secure the necessary resources for a facility build-out and operational launch to its inaugural services and programs.
