UBMD Emergency Medicine Division - UBMD EMS UB|MD EMS is the Program Agency for the Erie/Wyoming REMSCO and the Big Lakes REMSCO. University Emergency Medical Services, Inc.

is one of 18 EMS Program Agencies in New York State. These agencies are created to assist Regional EMS Councils and the Local EMS departments in activities to support and facilitate development of regional emergency medical service systems. While these organizations have no specific statutory authority, they were established to provide day to day professional and clerical staff needed to implement and support the activities of the Regional EMS Councils and REMACs. These organizations and their role is further described in Section 3003-a of Article 30.

On Tuesday 10/20/26 New York State EMS will be going live with a planned schematron update for all EPCR platforms across New York State. One of the components involved with this update pertains to facility names and facility codes. As I have mentioned in previous council meetings across both the Wyoming-Erie and Big Lakes Regions, all EPCR Agency Coordinators need to be sure both Hospital and Nursing Homes match the state list. If your EMS Agency uses the State Elite site or the Western Regional Elite site, no further action will be needed. If your agency uses any other vendor or you manage your own ImageTrend site, please be sure your facilities are updated before 10/20.

Please select the county of the facility and be sure to enter the name exactly as it appears on the Division of State EMS website; this includes any punctuation marks.
Failure to update your agency’s facilities will result in failed EPCR records on 10/20/26 and beyond.
