Today, we were excited to welcome the students participating in Tesla Gigafactory New York's Manufacturing Development Program for orientation.

In partnership with Northland Workforce Training Center, this program is designed to prepare graduating high school seniors across Western New York with the financial resources, hands-on coursework, and real-world experience needed to launch successful careers in advanced manufacturing and clean energy.

We’re proud to support the next generation of skilled workers and are excited to have these students with us this summer as they begin this incredible opportunity and take the next step toward their futures.

At last Friday’s graduation ceremony for Alfred State College, we had the pleasure of hearing from student speaker Ryven Duell-Livingston. Ryven shared a story about nearly taking time away from the program until a conversation with instructor Lakee Flunder completely changed his perspective.

Thank you, Ryven, for sharing your inspiring journey with us and reminding us of the impact that encouragement and mentorship can have on a student’s path.

We’d like to thank The Buffalo News for highlighting Dimar Manufacturing Corporation and the success of our students working there.

At Northland Workforce Training Center, we strive to equip students not only with the knowledge and technical skills needed to succeed in the workforce, but also with the motivation to continue learning and growing throughout their careers.

Speaking about the Northland graduates they hired, Dimar Senior Project Manager Dan Youseff shared: “They want to learn, and they’re eager to take on new challenges. Northland did a great job preparing them to enter the workforce.”

We’re proud to see our students making an impact in the manufacturing industry and grateful for partners like Dimar who continue to invest in workforce development.

Bobby Donohue started at Dimar Manufacturing Corporation in February 2024 as a general welder. Just two years later, he’s a lead on his shift, operating some of the company’s most

Dream It Do It Western New York once again brought their Girls in Manufacturing event to Northland Workforce Training Center earlier this month!

During the hands-on portion of the event, students stepped into our welding lab to create metal flowers in a supportive and engaging environment.

Programs like Girls in Manufacturing are so important because they help expose young women to rewarding careers in the skilled trades and manufacturing industry at an early age. By creating opportunities for hands-on learning and mentorship, we can inspire the next generation of women leaders and innovators in manufacturing.
