Last week, over 100 students from 9 high schools in the WNY region gathered to showcase their research in metagenomics for the SEPA Program! 🧪

In coordination with the University at Buffalo and WNY Rural AHEC, students conducted phage research to learn what is in our waterways as an introduction to biological research. 🔬🧫

The annual Capstone event serves as students’ first experience displaying research. We are a proud partner with UB and grateful for the opportunity to support high schools in our area! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

By reducing the barriers to obtaining a degree, the program will help cultivate a high-quality healthcare workforce and build stronger communities. 🩺
