Town and Country Garden Club

Town and Country Garden Club One of the oldest clubs in Johnson County. Goal is to beautify Buffalo and educate. The Town and Country Garden Club has been a part of Buffalo since 1956.

Monthly meetings are held most of the year and various garden-related programs are presented, either by members or guests. The Garden Club also holds an Annual Plant Sale, a workshop, and tours of local gardens, along with various other activities. The major fundraiser for the Garden Club is its Annual Plant Sale, which is held each May. Proceeds from Plant Sales have been used to plant trees and

flowers in Buffalo, purchase garden-related books for the Johnson County Library, and for donations for various charities and civic organizations.

😊 Have you ever held a Meadowlark in your hands? I had the pleasure of that last night when I found a little one caught in the chicken wire of my garden fence. It took me about 5-7 minutes to carefully untangle him. He became very quiet and even allowed me to push his head and long beak back through a hole. I held him for just a minute, after he was free and then he flew off, unharmed. I think I hear him singing this morning. 🎶🎶🎶
