Side By Side Creating youth programs & partnerships. Thousands have participated and hundreds have served as leaders.

For 26 years Side By Side has worked to help young people to find a place of belonging, community, and hope by building vibrant youth communities. Our focus is to serve in communities lacking necessary resources for effective youth ministry. At this time only 1 in 10 churches are able to support a full time youth ministry. Many urban and rural communities have no youth ministry efforts at all. Our

work is to establish youth mission sites in such areas. SBS Youth Missionaries:
Building Communities and Growing in Fellowship
SBS Youth Missionaries serve in established mission communities here in Minnesota. We are reaching out to young people from communities lacking in opportunities to participate in youth ministry in their communities. Side By Side provides Christ centered youth events, opportunities for leadership training, and regular youth nights where we draw adults together to work as missionaries to youth within their communities. GO Team:
GO team is a leadership team comprised of High School students who work as peer leaders within their communities to plan and carry-out outreach and service efforts in their own communities. GO stands for growth and outreach and young people work together to grow in their relationship with Christ and work together to serve God and neighbor. Service Ministry Opportunities:
We have begun relationships with Good in the Hood and Shoe Away Hunger to team up in efforts to serve the poor among us in the Twin Cities. We will work together to serve community meals and serve at Shoe related projects that help to clothe and feed disadvantaged kids in the communities around us.

Hey Friends,
Our Mission Team continues to serve communities in the Ka'u region of the Big Island of Hawaii. We are sitting safe at 4000 ft due to a Tsunami warning. Keep us and especially the people of coastal regions of the Hawaiian Islands in prayer.

Another day of mission included half of our team continuing the showerhouse building and the others helping local ministries to seve the homeless individuals in Hilo. Hello Everyone! As many of you know I have served in Youth Ministry for the last 41 years. Over the years my focus has become that of building youth ministry programs that encourage kids in life and faith. We hope young people will be inspired to participate in vibrant youth communities where they can grow and bring their gifts for leadership to the efforts.

This summer 11 youth and 5 adult members of our "Feed Leaders Team" are going on mission to help build a Shower house/ Bathroom for a new youth camp in Na'alehu Hawaii. Our focus will be one of helping those youth, families and individuals in Hawaii are facing the effects poverty. Food insecurity, homelessness, neglect, violence, and addiction are a real part of life for many young people. Serving with Planting Hope Ministries, we will do our part to help build a Christian youth camp and "safe place for kids to grow" on the Big Island.
