Please join us at the Flint Street R-Center for a free accredited Stop the Bleed training on August 21st from 11am- 2pm. This training will cover how to control severe bleeding to save lives, and how to emotionally support people affected by accidents. The first 25 attendees will receive a kit with a tourniquet and other first aid supplies.

While the Mayor frets about gun violence and the Governor throws money at an issue he fails to understand, the Capital District Bandaid Brigade is supporting harm reduction in our local communities through Bleed Control trainings.

Buffalo Street Medics is a group of physical and mental health first aid providers at direct actions in the Buffalo area (including Erie and Niagara counties). We are all volunteers and provide first aid as a form of direct action and community defense. We provide first aid, protest safety, mental health first aid, stop the bleed, and other advanced first aid trainings to community members and first aid providers.

BSM is currently training 13 new members, and providing advanced training to current members. We want to enable folks to participate in providing first aid without creating a financial burden on them for supplies and protective gear (helmets and goggles) as they are already donating their time.

Help us keep Buffalo protests, protesters, and our medics safer!

Due to yet another murder by Minneapolis-area police, and seeing the milk on protesters faces on live streams; this is a friendly reminder that you should only use water to flush eyes! We depend on our eyes so much. They are delicate and milk doesn’t belong in them. Also folks have allergies, milk covered-folks can comfortably continue protesting in the heat, milk doesn’t soothe eyes like it does our tongues.

Stay safe out there, friends! Please share with the people in your life who attend direct actions, and reach out to us if you need street medics at your event!
