After more than 230 years of circulation, the U.S. Mint has struck its final penny, officially ending production of the one-cent coin. So today, on December 1st, give that coin in your pocket new life. Donate it. Set it free to roam and to be used for good at your local Salvation Army.

The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes one of our favorite traditions: the Do-It For Others Holiday Toy Drive, in partnership with Valu Home Centers. From today through Sunday, December 7, bring a new, unwrapped toy to any Valu Home Centers location to donate. Each store will have a festive donation barrel waiting to be filled to help make the season brighter for children in need.

Each year, The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to local families and children. This holiday season, we invite you to Give with Joy by supporting children and families who are struggling to make ends meet. Your generous gift from this registry will help bring hope, dignity, and happiness to a child who needs it most.

National Donut Day isn't just about treats - it's about tradition and compassion. The Salvation Army is proud to carry on the legacy of the "Donut Lassies" who served on the front lines. Today, we continue to serve our communities with the same spirit of love and care ❤️🍩
