We are proud to announce Moog Inc. as the BNP’s 2025 Business of the Year for its outstanding leadership, growth and commitment to the Buffalo Niagara community.

This year, Moog accelerated its momentum and strengthened its roots across the region through increased capital investments necessary to support future sales growth. These included four projects adding 285,000 square feet of advanced space to boost production capacity for critical programs, upskill the local workforce, and position the company for sustained growth and manufacturing excellence for decades to come.

“We appreciate the BNP’s recognition and remain committed to being a strong local employer and trusted partner,” said Pat Roche, president and CEO of Moog. “We also thank our employees, customers and the community for their continued support.”

Moog will receive this year’s award at the inaugural BNP Economic Champions celebration, presented by KeyBank, on Nov. 18 at The Admiral Room, where the BNP will recognize all of this year’s Economic Champions and raise a toast to Western New York's top leaders, change makers and innovators that are driving Buffalo Niagara's economy forward.

We are honored to recognize Donna DeCarolis as our 2025 Industry Leader Award winner. The recently retired president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation spent more than 40 years of service ascending through several different business areas within the company.

She has played an important role as a vocal advocate in Albany for customer affordability, energy reliability and the overall impact on New York’s ability to maintain its business competitiveness due to the state’s climate and decarbonization legislation.

“Throughout her time at National Fuel, Donna has been a tireless advocate for affordability, reliability and fairness in energy policy, ensuring that the voices of Western New Yorkers were heard in Albany,” says BNP President & CEO Dottie Gallagher. “Her leadership, vision and deep commitment to our community have left a lasting mark on both the business landscape and the region as a whole.”

Donna has also been active in her support of the community, serving in leadership capacities on the boards of The Business Council of New York State, Inc., the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House, Leadership Buffalo, Shea's Performing Arts Center O’Connell Preservation Guild, the University at Buffalo School of Management, Buffalo Sabres Foundation, Niagara University and the African American Veterans Monument WNY.

Donna will be presented the award at our third annual Economic Development Summit on Oct. 9. The culmination event of the 2025 Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) schedule brings together member companies to strategize for the year ahead.

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is proud to announce that Grant Loomis has been named President & COO and will succeed Dottie Gallagher as CEO following her retirement in June 2026.

For more than 10 years, Grant has worked directly with members to advance advocacy, policy and strategic priorities. This succession plan reflects the organization’s commitment to ensuring continuity as the BNP continues to lead the NY SMART I-Corridor, expand member services and deliver value for the businesses that drive our region’s economy forward.

“Over the past decade, I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has on our region – from advancing economic opportunity to building collaboration across Upstate New York,” Grant said. “I look forward to building on Dottie’s remarkable legacy and ensuring the BNP remains a strong voice for Buffalo Niagara’s employers and economy.”
