The annual Bailey Ave. Clean Up is Sat., May 20 from 9 am to 12 pm -- and volunteers are needed! Hosted by Lovejoy District Council Member Bryan Bollman, it begins at the Bank of America on 1171 East Delevan Ave. Please RSVP at 716-851-5151 or [email protected].

Come support this community-wide effort to beautify one of our city's most important streets. Volunteers will pick up litter, remove debris, and tackle a host of other tasks as we make Bailey Ave a more inviting place for all who live, work, and visit. Organizers will provide trash bags and gloves. Wear comfortable clothing/shoes -- and bring a reusable water bottle. Let's make this year's Clean Up the best one yet!

What a day we had in Bailey Green! Our neighborhood celebrated as over a dozen students from the UB School of Architecture and Planning shared their vision for what our park space might look like one day soon, following months of input from residents. The students also taught our kids how to safely use tools to make their very own scooters. The Buffalo Peacemakers, Buffalo Fathers, Back To Basics Outreach Ministries & Buffalo United Front, Inc. added to the fun by offering free food to our neighbors, and every kid who turned in a toy gun received a brand new toy in return. Volunteers from Harmac Medical Products, the Buffalo Police Department, the City of Buffalo, New York and others added their time and talents to make our day memorable. Thanks to everyone who came out and shared their time, thoughts, talents and energy!

Thanks, Harmac Medical Products, for all you do to keep our neighborhood clean and safe for our families!
