โ›ˆ๏ธ Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected today, with the potential for strong to severe storms later this afternoon and evening. Wind is a primary concern, and a Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday evening, as repeated rainfall may lead to rising creeks and rivers and localized flooding.

If you see impacts like flooding, storm damage, or downed trees, consider reporting them through MyCoast NY. Your observations help improve local awareness and response. Only take photos when it is safe to do so.

๐ŸŒฟ Small Grants in Action

Restoration work is underway to reduce invasive shrubs across a 28-acre forest site at the Western New York Land Conservancy's Kenneglenn Preserve. Crews used cut-stump methods to treat buckthorn, honeysuckle, barberry, and multiflora rose. Follow-up monitoring and treatments will continue in 2026 to support the recovery of native plant communities.
