Have an idea for a startup – or the beginning of one – but not sure what to do next?

Applications are now open for the next cohort of StartingLine: Startup Essentials, powered by the Western NY Incubator Network (WIN), is a free, three-week virtual program for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs. No prior experience is required.

StartingLine helps participants build a foundation in startup fundamentals, get feedback from experienced entrepreneurs and refine their ideas and pitches 💡

Whether you’re exploring an idea, developing a product or thinking about building a business of your own, StartingLine is the place to begin.

FastBreak Football has received a $100K investment through ’s Cultivator! 🏈

The startup’s take on flag football needs just three players per team + 20 yards of space. Co-founders PJ Tudisco, Gregg Turkovich and Andrew Wheeler designed the game to be easy to learn and play in backyards, parks and gyms.

Collaboration has been key to the business's growth: In addition to the mentorship and support they’ve received through Cultivator and entrepreneur-in-residence Chris Keller, Fast Break also has ties to the Buffalo football community, partnering with the Patricia Allen Fund at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo for Fast Break’s 2026 Play with Purpose Campaign.

Congratulations to RareShot Golf for receiving a $100K investment through ’s Cultivator!

RareShot Golf is turning premium golf balls into collectibles through limited releases + designs that range from common to extremely rare ⛳

Founder Brandon Fischer will use the investment to support the product’s upcoming launch and has been working with Cultivator entrepreneur-in-residence Winson Wong.

The latest StartingLine cohort wrapped up with Pitch Day, where participants shared 60-second pitches for ideas they had spent three weeks testing and refining.

During the free pre-accelerator program – sponsored by the Western New York Incubator Network (WIN) – participants worked through funding, marketing + sales, customer discovery and other topics.

By Pitch Day, each had a clearer sense of the problem they want to solve, who they are solving it for – and how to explain the opportunity in one minute. We are proud to see how far the ideas, and the participants, have come! 👏
