*** SOLIDARITY RALLY ***

Why:To support the 4 City Labor Unions (AFSCME Local 912, Dunkirk Firefighters Local 616, Dunkirk PBA & USW Local 2693). The City's administration has been "reinterpreting" the long standing benefits in the Collective bargaining agreements. The City's Common Council needs to be reminded that Unions helped build up this City and start demanding that the Mayor negotiate in good faith instead of unilaterally changing negotiated terms of the contract. The Dunkirk Common Council should understand this well since at least 3 are/were Union members. 1 is a UUP (NYSUT) member, 1 is a retired DTA (NYSUT) member and 1 is a retired CSEA (AFSCME) member.

When:Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Where: (Outside) Dunkirk City Hall, 342 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY
Time:4:30pm-5:20pm

Description: We will rally outside of Dunkirk City Hall with signs for almost an hour before the start of the Dunkirk Common Council meeting. Then we will attend the meeting where our WNY-ALF (AFL-CIO) President, Denise Abbott will address the Mayor and Council. Signs will be provided for the outside rally.
