HUGE thank you to the amazing volunteers from Five Star Bank and some of our fantastic LPF volunteers and guests for pulling off what felt like an impossible task yesterday! Together, we got all 30 old mattresses and box springs out of the building and 30 bed frames built and new mattresses in all rooms in time for our guests to come home to brand new beds 🛏️ we even had time to deep clean! We are so grateful for all of the support! 💙

Sometimes the simplest things can make the biggest difference 💙

LPF is in need of NEW men’s and women’s underwear, men’s undershirts, and men’s socks for the people we serve.

These are everyday essentials that many of us take for granted, but having clean, fresh clothing can provide something incredibly important: comfort and dignity.

🩲 Men’s size M underwear
👙 Women’s size M & L underwear
👕 Men’s size S, M, & L undershirts
🧦 Men’s white socks

If you’re able to pick up an extra package on your next shopping trip, start a collection with your family, friends, or coworkers, or simply share this post, it would mean so much!

A small donation can make a big difference for someone in need 💙

This investment is more than just funding. It’s hope, dignity, and opportunity for the women we serve every day. Because of this support, we will be able to create a safe and welcoming space to expand our capacity and meet the growing need in our community.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping empower more women to rebuild their lives!

Homelessness in our community is rising—and behind every number is a person with a story, a struggle, and a need for connection.

This article reflects what we are seeing every day: more individuals facing housing instability, and a growing need for compassionate support.

At Little Portion Friary, we believe one of the most powerful ways to respond is through presence. A warm meal served with kindness. A conversation that reminds someone they matter. A safe space where dignity is restored.

We are always looking for volunteers to stand with us in this work. Whether you can give a few hours or become more regularly involved, your time can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

If you’ve been looking for a way to give back, this is your invitation.

Together, we can meet this moment—with compassion, with community, and with action.

Homelessness in Western New York hits a record high with 2,188 people affected, as systemic strains limit support to only 20%, reports the Homeless Alliance.
