Proud to celebrate Buffalo Black & Latino Pride Week at the annual Black & Latino Pride Festival! 💪🏽 As the Co-Founder Emeritus of this incredible organization, I'm proud to see how much it has grown, the lives it touches, and the way it celebrates the rich diversity of our community.

As a Puerto Rican LGBTQ+ person, my lived experiences shape who I am every day. I carry the spirit of those who came before us in my heart, and I believe knowing our history helps us build a stronger, more inclusive future. Our West Side continues to evolve, and welcoming new neighbors from all over the world only makes our community stronger.

Honoring LGBTQ+ history in neighborhoods like Porter Avenue, Five Points, and Elmwood Village helps preserve the legacy of those who fought for us while creating spaces where future generations can feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

This work is deeply personal to me, and I'm grateful to celebrate our community, our resilience, and our joy tonight. Happy Pride! 🌈🏳️‍🌈
