This year, Lent and Ramadan begin at the same time. A powerful reminder of our shared values of faith, sacrifice, prayer, and reflection.

For Christians, Lent marks a sacred season leading up to Easter — a time of fasting, repentance, and spiritual renewal.

For Muslims, Ramadan is a blessed month of fasting from dawn to sunset, deep prayer, charity, and drawing closer to God.

Though our traditions differ, the heart of these seasons is beautifully similar:

Self-discipline

Reflection

Compassion

Devotion to God

May this special overlap be a reminder that faith can unite us, strengthen our communities, and inspire peace and understanding.

The Masonic Funeral Services of Brother Earlie Edward Harris are Monday, February 9, 2026 at M. J. Colucci and Son Niagara Funeral Chapel 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls NY 14304 the assembly of Masons is 5:00 pm with the Consistory, Red House and Blue House beginning at 530 pm.

Saint John's Lodge #16 is meeting at 17 Kingsley for a 4pm trip to Niagara Falls. The Brothers of Saint John's are asking anyone who desires to meet at the Lodge for the Excursion. Saint John's is also inviting anyone who desires to return to 17 Kingsley after the Services for a Repast. We appreciate you and look forward to our Masonic Work and the Fellowship following.
