There are seasons when the wait feels unbearable.

You’ve prayed. You’ve believed. You’ve trusted God with tears in your eyes and faith in your heart. Yet the answer still hasn’t arrived.

That’s when the enemy whispers that God has forgotten you.

But Habakkuk teaches us a different response.

“I will climb my watchtower and wait to see what the LORD will tell me to say and what answer he will give to my complaint.” (Habakkuk 2:1 GNT)

He didn’t walk away because the answer was delayed. He climbed higher. He took his position. He waited with expectation.

That is the posture faith takes.

Not panic. Not striving. Not desperation.

Steady. Settled. Rooted.

The kind of faith that says, “God, I don’t know when You’re going to answer, but I know You will.”

What God is doing behind the scenes is worth the wait.

Climb your watchtower. Wait and see. The answer is coming.

Throughout May, Empowering Everyday Women created spaces where women could come together, be heard, learn, and heal.

Women gained practical tools, built real connections, and found encouragement for the road ahead.

Strong women build strong families and stronger communities. That is why this work matters.

Thank you to every woman who participated, every partner who collaborated, and every supporter who believes in this mission. Your presence and investment made it possible.

The work continues.

The team at Empowering Everyday Women is grateful for every woman we have the privilege of meeting and connecting with through our outreach.

In a world that can be harsh, lonely, divisive, and discouraging, it brings us so much joy to remind women that they are not forgotten.

You belong. You are chosen. You are valued. You are deeply loved with the unfailing love of Christ.

Thank you for your support that makes our mission possible.

New Devotion: Praying about something that feels impossible to figure out? Today's Daily Cup of Inspiration from Dianna Hobbs carries an encouraging word straight from the heart of God for that very place.

When life exceeds your capacity and the questions keep multiplying, God may not answer with an explanation. He may answer with a revelation of who He is.

There is so much in life we cannot control.

People change. Plans shift. Doors close unexpectedly. Seasons turn without warning. And when uncertainty builds, worry can quietly take over the mind.

But faith is a choice.

Not because everything feels easy. Not because every answer comes immediately. But because God remains trustworthy in every season.

Jesus asked His disciples during the storm, “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” (Mark 4:40).

The storm was real. Their fear was real. Yet Jesus was still with them in the middle of it all.

Anxiety grows when we focus only on what could happen. Peace grows when we remember nothing happens without God’s awareness, permission, and presence.

Trust Him with what you cannot control.

Today we honor the brave women and men who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with loved ones and enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted, may we also pause to remember those who paid the ultimate price.

Honoring the brave. Remembering the fallen.

Life can get loud. The pressure, the worry, the mental exhaustion. Sometimes you don’t even realize how overwhelmed you are until you finally sit still.

But there is a kind of peace God’s Word gives that reaches places nothing else can. It steadies you. It comforts you. It reminds you that you are not carrying life alone.

“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” — Psalm 119:165 NIV

Praying peace over every weary mind and heavy heart tonight. 🤍

Sis, hear this today: whatever God has called you to face, He has already equipped you to overcome.

You are not powerless, forgotten, or alone.

Through Christ, you have strength for every battle, grace for every burden, and courage for every new day. 💜

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

Black women carry so much.

For generations, we have shown up for everybody else while quietly carrying stress, burnout, grief, disappointment, pressure, and emotional exhaustion of our own.

In our latest Mental Health Awareness Month feature, EEW Magazine explores emotional wellness, healing, boundaries, and sustainable leadership through Chapter 5 of Cherisse Stephens’ new book, Let’s C.E.O. Cover Each Other and Lead with Legacy.

“Emotionally whole leaders are not perfect, but they are self-aware, grounded, and resilient. They lead from a place of healing, not hidden wounds.”

This conversation matters.

Because healing matters.
Rest matters.
Boundaries matter.
And emotional wellness matters, too.

Father, today we remember the ten precious lives taken from us on May 14, 2022, in Buffalo, New York.

We lift up the survivors who still carry the scars of that day, along with every grieving family, loved one, neighbor, and community member forever changed by this tragedy.

Lord, the hatred that fueled this violence still lingers in our nation. Heal the division, racism, bitterness, and violence that continue to wound our communities.

Comfort broken hearts. Bring peace where there is pain and restoration where there is trauma.

Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. Heal Buffalo. Heal our nation. Teach us to love one another with compassion, dignity, and humanity.

We will never forget Katherine Massey, Margus Morrison, Celestine Chaney, Andre Mackniel, Ruth Whitfield, Roberta Drury, Heyward Patterson, Geraldine Talley, Aaron Salter Jr., and Pearl Young.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
