It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our friend, neighbor, and fellow Block Club member, Timothy Bouvier 💔

Tim was truly one of a kind. His journey with the Ithaca Coalition began with a crusade to address the growing accumulation of trash outside the Family Dollar on South Park at our first Spring Clean Up. That determination to make our neighborhood a better place was just the beginning of a lasting commitment to our community.

From that point forward, Tim became an active and integral part of our Block Club family, eventually serving as Vice President for a time. He was full of ideas and always willing to roll up his sleeves and get involved. Tim came up with the idea for our bottle fundraiser, helped organize our first yard sale, and let us crash at his house for our very first cookie exchange, a tradition that has since grown into our beloved First Responder Cookie Exchange, one of our biggest annual events.

Tim was always there for our neighborhood cleanups and volunteered at many of our National Night Out celebrations. But his dedication to the community didn’t stop when a meeting or event ended. You could often find Tim walking the neighborhood, picking up trash and stopping to chat before before heading home to garden, bake delicious treats and help care for his mother.

That was Tim. He didn’t just talk about making a difference. He got out there and did it. The Ithaca Street Coalition won’t be the same without you, but your legacy will forever be part of who we are.

Rest in peace, Tim. You will be deeply missed ❤️
