A huge THANK YOU to Angie and Wizzy Fizzies for donating an amazing item to our Potty Training Basket. Our Basket raffle will take place at our upcoming conference: https://www.neurodiversitynetworkofwny.org/event-details/beyond-awareness-creating-neurodiversity-affirming-spaces

Potty training can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Wizzy Fizzies takes a completely different approach, turning potty training into play instead of pressure.

Rather than relying on constant reminders, sticker charts, or rewards, Wizzy Fizzies uses storytelling, curiosity, and a little potty-time magic to help children feel excited and empowered to use the toilet. Kids get to experience the magic they create themselves, making potty training a fun adventure instead of a stressful task.

We love finding resources that support children in ways that honor how they naturally learn, and Wizzy Fizzies is designed with exactly that in mind.

Thank you, Angie, for supporting our community. You can learn more about this product here: https://www.wizzyfizzies.com

A huge thank you to Spin Meal Plate for their generous donation to one of our baskets focused on people with restrictive diets and food exploration challenges (https://www.spinmealplate.com)

Trying new foods can be difficult for some people and creating low-pressure opportunities around food, while making the experience more engaging and playful, may help encourage food exploration for some families. While every person is different, we hope the resources included in this basket provide helpful ideas, support, and encouragement. This basket will also include books and resources related to food exploration, restrictive eating, and other fun surprises!

More to come as we continue putting together our raffle baskets and highlighting the amazing businesses and supporters contributing to our fundraiser.

Huge shoutout to Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center for their generous donation to our Beyond Awareness conference! BHSC has been with us since day one, and their commitment to our community is unwavering. From the start of NNWNY in 2019 to today, they’ve been a constant support for our network. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated partner in our corner!

We also really value their commitment to the DIR/Floortime model, which moves away from "compliance" to focus on relationship and connection. They have played such a critical role in helping our kids grow by meeting them where they are, helping them to learn by using the “just right challenge” for each student individually, and ensuring families feel truly supported and heard within their schools. By prioritizing emotional connection, they help our children build the foundations they need to thrive, not just as students, but as themselves.
