Join us on October 24 as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pasaquan’s grand reopening with live folk, and Psychedelic music, visual artists known for Folk and Self-Taught styles, food vendors, tarot readings, performances, an all-ages Pasaquan-inspired craft, and much more. Organized by the Pasaquan Preservation Society, the festival brings together artists, musicians, performers, vendors, and visitors for a day inspired by the singular vision of Pasaquan’s creator, Eddie Owens Martin, also known as St. EOM.

Set among Pasaquan’s colorful murals, sculptural forms, and hand-built environments, PASAFEST reflects the site’s enduring spirit of imagination, individuality, and artistic freedom while highlighting the rich cultures of the Southeast. The festival also supports the Pasaquan Preservation Society’s mission to preserve this world-renowned visionary art environment and educate future generations about its history and significance. Pasaquan is located at 238 Eddie Martin Road in Buena Vista, Georgia.

We’ll have an artist market, live music, a drop-in art project, tarot readings, tours, drum circles, food, and more. Join us!

What happens when an artist decides to build an entirely new world?

After a series of powerful visions, Eddie Owens Martin (St. EOM) transformed a rural Georgia landscape into Pasaquan- a vibrant environment of painted temples, winding pathways, symbols, and sculptures that blurred the boundaries between art, spirituality, and everyday life. Like Harrison Mayes's roadside signs, Pasaquan reorients the way we see place, asking us to imagine new possibilities in the spaces between inherited maps and lived experience.

Discover Martin's visionary universe in No-Man's-Land, on view at the Knoxville Museum of Art, where artists reimagine how we navigate landscape, belief, and the worlds we create.

On view August 14th-November 8th.

We are excited to announce the return of PASAFEST! Mark your calendars for Saturday October 24th! We will be celebrating the 10 year grand reopening with an artist market featuring over 30 artist and performances by Jake Xerxes Fussel and John Kiran Fernandes. More info coming soon!

This structure may remind you of the Boudhanath Stupa in Nepal. Eddie Martin drew inspiration from cultures and religions all over the world, and he often mixed those ideas into the art you see here at Pasaquan. The large eyes painted on the front and the pointed roof resemble elements of the famous stupa in Kathmandu. But Eddie may have added something personal as well. The bead shapes painted above the eyes look like the necklaces he often wore, and the roof itself can be seen as a playful nod to the kind of hat Eddie Martin was known for wearing.
