Happy Friday! After another successful Friday Distribution, Giving Children Hope is pleased to introduce one of our most loyal volunteers: Zach!

Zach has been serving with us for 2 years! He had heard about us through his mother, who serves as one of our Board Members, and his sister, who has previously volunteered with us! Zach is one of our most dedicated volunteers, coming to volunteer with us every Friday đź’š

"It's like a family here. The volunteers are eager to help, everyone here is very nice. I heard about GCH from my mom, who serves on the Board. She brought my sister here to volunteer, as well!"

The George Hoag Family Foundation has been serving since 1940. Their mission is to foster a positive impact on the community by promoting human welfare and alleviating pain and suffering. We are so glad to be a part of their mission!

When one becomes two…

Ever wonder what essentials goes into the team behind the social media? Well here they are!

Every Tuesday and Friday, you can find one of us walking around taking pictures and videos of our favorite events here at GCH! Wanna say “hi”?

Sign up to volunteer on Tuesdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for food sorting every week. On Tuesdays, at the same time, we have product sorting in our warehouse every other week!

Do you see our weekly Friday story? Sign up to volunteer on Fridays from 8 AM to 12 PM in order to see yourself on one of those posts! We have two opportunities for Friday Distribution. From 7:30 to 11 AM, we have traffic duty for volunteers that want to help keep track of the cars coming in our drive thru model! From 8 AM to 12 PM, we have our active distribution. These volunteers help us give out the food to the families in our community!

Holiday season at GCH is coming very soon! Make sure you keep an eye out for any holiday festivities we may have going on in our GCH community. We hope you are ready for the season of giving back and spreading hope through generations đź’š

For those of you who can’t wait to start helping, think about coming to a volunteer event on Tuesdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM or on Fridays at 8 AM to 12 PM! Tuesday volunteers help out with food sorting every week, with product sorting every other week. Friday volunteers get to see the impact they have on the community through our Friday Distribution!

Roughly 1-6 children experience food insecurity in the Orange County area. That's more than 112,000 children within the county. The rising cost of living continues to affect families as many now have to make the sacrifice of basic necessities and everyday essentials in order to make ends meet.

Here at Giving Children Hope our mission is to help families break out of their cycle of need and guide them towards success and self-sustainability. In a recent donation event, we were able to help a mother make ends meet by providing her food and essentials for her family.

"As a mother trying to make ends meet, the rising cost of food and everyday essentials has been challenging for my family. Receiving assistance from this distribution helped ease some of that burden and allowed me to provide nutritious meals for my children without having to worry about how I would afford them. More than just the food and supplies, it reminded me that there are people and organizations in our community who genuinely care about families like ours. This support gave us relief, hope, and reassurance during a difficult time, and I am sincerely thankful to everyone who made it possible."
