If you have student-athletes in the Carpinteria area that are interested in NICA and the GOSO league, be sure to come to our Give It A Go Event, this Thursday, June 4th at Viola Fields 5-6:30pm. This is an opportunity to meet some of our Carpinteria coaches and student-athletes, see how practices run, and to learn more about the league, what NICA is and what we offer. We hope to see you there!

Meet our League Director, Nancy Eckert! Nancy is in charge of the GOSO League and oversees all events, festivals, weekends, teams, coaches and volunteers. She has been biking since she could walk, she rides cross country trails and is also a road cyclist. Nancy is looking forward to adding the festival element to our races meaning more games and fun for our student-athletes when they are off the bike.

GOSO Season 2 starts in about one month! That means practices, Adventure Weekends, Festivals and events are all so close! If you still have not registered as a coach or registered your student-athletes, you still have time to do so! Contact your head coach to earn PitZone access so you can register your family for the GOSO 2026 season!

Today, Memorial Day, is a day to remember all of the fallen military members who have passed away for our country and given the ultimate sacrifice. We thank these men and women for giving their lives for our freedom and independence, we will always remember and appreciate them.

If you are wanting to be a level 2 or 3 coach but need to still check CPR off your list, then you’re in luck! We have a CPR Class coming up on Sunday, June 7th. This will be hosted in Solvang, starting at 9:00am. There is a fee of $150 to be able to attend.
By joining us for this CPR class and getting your certification, you are helping student-athletes and people inside GOSO when there is a trail injury, heat issues and crashes. By being CPR Certified you strengthen GOSO and help all of the GOSO family by being able to show up to a scene calmly and collected while knowing what to do efficiently.

GOSO has been invited to NICA’s Western Regionals! NICA Western Regionals will race student-athletes grades 9-12 in the 2026-2027 school year in 10 different leagues. If your student-athletes are younger, they will not be able to race but there will still be activities available to them such as GRiT, Adventure, Event Expo, and Skill Stations, which will be available to all student-athletes.
This will be hosted in St. George, Utah on November 14-15, 2026 with registration opening on September 1st. Be sure to put both the dates of registration and of the event in your calendars to get ready for the 2026 NICA Western Regionals!

Our Mothers do so much to help us on and off the bike. For example, help us get to the start line on time, help with water bottle hand offs, or even just in day to day life with helping you learn all you need to about life.

CycleMAYnia is coming up in Santa Barbara County! CycleMAynia celebrates bikes all throughout the month of May, with events and activities. GOSO and CycleMAYnia are coming together to host a “Give It A Go” Day at Rancho Alegre tomorrow! Give It A Go events are for incoming 5th through 12th graders who are curious about GOSO and want to see what it is about. Through skills, rides, meeting coaches, other student-athletes, and some of our crew, student-athletes and parents can see what practices are like through GOSO. Come visit if you are at all curious. GOSO has a new trailer! This trailer has been helping with all out Maintenance Skill Training,, Tech, and Give IT A Go events by helping transport loaner bikes, helmets, bike skill and game supplies, GOSO tents and so much more. This trailer was given by the Bosch Community Fund as a way to show support for GOSO and our Give It A Go and Maintenance Events. We appreciate the trailer and your support!
