Santa Ynez qualifies six wrestlers for CIF-Central Masters

The Santa Ynez wrestling team qualified six wrestlers for the CIF-C Masters Tournament this past weekend in the CIF-Central Division 3 Wrestling Championships.

Junior Joey Duarte took second in the 285-pound division, senior Neal Cunningham took third in the 157-pound division, sophomore Curren Lane (144-pound) and senior Kaj Kretzschmer (175-pound) took fifth in heir respective divisions, and junior Hayden Pahler took seventh in the 165-pound division.

“The Pirates have been working hard all year and are performing their best in the postseason,” coach Sean Yamaski said. “I am beyond proud of this team and the effort they have put in and I am super excited for this next tournament and the future of our team.”
