PRIDE community! Sunday’s event was amazing, but PRIDE is more than one day. Tomorrow the Roxbury library is hosting a joint Juneteenth / Pride event from 4-8. In this day and age, that’s a bold step of solidarity for a library to take. Let’s show them some love. You can register through the link below.

Celebrate with crafts, activities, and a picture book reading for all ages, followed by an interview with Walter Naegle and movie screening of "Rustin," (recommended for teens and adults).. Event starts at June 12, 2026 4:00 PM EDT

It was great seeing so many faces new and old today! Thank you to Joe Nicastro Mayor and everyone else who came to celebrate diversity and inclusivity here in Mount Olive. Today was a great, fun-filled day. ☀️🌈

We’re honored to welcome JBWS to Mount Olive Pride on Sunday, June 7! 🏳️‍🌈✨

JBWS is a private nonprofit agency providing safety, support, and solutions for abuse for people who live or work primarily in Morris County and Passaic County. Their work supports individuals facing intimate partner abuse through protection, empowerment, advocacy, education, and care. 💛

JBWS serves all people impacted by abuse, including women, men, transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming community members. Everyone deserves to feel safe. Everyone deserves support.

Featured here is a look at their community outreach, a survivor-created quilt, and a powerful reminder of the impact their work can have. 💜

Hummingbird Academy is a half-day pod kindergarten program in Mount Olive, created to support families looking for a small-group, hands-on, technology-free learning environment.

Their approach focuses on:

🎨 Creative and STEAM activities
🌿 Outdoor learning and garden time
🤝 Support, socialization, and community for families

Founded by Emilie Farrell, a dual-certified Special Education and English K-12 educator, Hummingbird Academy was built with the belief that young children learn best when they are engaged, curious, supported, and not overwhelmed. 💛

🌈 Performer Spotlight: .camachotenreiro ✨

We’re excited to welcome Micaela Camacho-Tenreiro to Mount Olive Pride on Sunday, June 7! 🏳️‍🌈💛

Micaela is a Venezuelan-American poet, dancer, and self-described troublemaker whose work moves through language, movement, identity, and community. 🎤✨

Her creative work has appeared in American Poetry Review, on NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday, and beyond. She is also a 2025 Individual Artist Fellow through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

A voice that invites people to listen closely. 🌙
