📚Book Club, June 15 📚
Join us at 7 pm on Monday, June 15th at 7 pm for socializing and snacks; drinks will be provided, please bring some snacks to share. Anamae and Jeff will be hosting will be hosting in Kyle, Texas.
The discussion begins at 8 pm on Zoom. Remember even if you haven’t read the book or finished it, the discussions are always relevant and good.

We will be discussing Murder Takes a Vacation by Laura Lippman( 272 pages, June 2025) Mrs. Blossom has a knack for blending into the background, which was an asset during her days assisting private investigator Tess Monaghan. But when she finds a winning lottery ticket in a parking lot, everything changes. She is determined to see the world that she sometimes feels is passing her by. When Mrs. Blossom booked her cruise through France on the MS Solitaire, she did not expect to meet Allan on her transatlantic flight. He is the first man who’s sparked something inside her since her beloved husband passed. Matthew 28:16-20
Though the word trinity is not found in the scriptures, today’s second reading includes the apostolic greeting that begins the liturgy: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. In the gospel Jesus sends his disciples forth to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit in what has come to be called “The Great Commission.” On Holy Trinity Sunday, we profess the mystery that God who is One has come to us in Three, ever united, and every uniting God’s people to fulfill the Sending Commission of our Lord in our words, deeds, attitudes, and the love of the community of the baptized.

On this Memorial Day, we give thanks for those who gave their lives in service to others and for the freedoms we share today. Grant comfort to grieving families, peace to our communities, and courage to live with compassion, justice, and hope.
